There’s no greater frustration then spending entire weekends out looking for a specific piece of furniture for your home that you just can’t seem to find anywhere. Even after scouring the internet, you may be able to find the right shape but not the right quality, or certain pieces of furniture don’t quite come in the colour that you want. Finding the right furniture to suit your home can be incredibly hard to do at the best of times, but custom made furniture is an excellent solution to this problem. If you can’t find what you’re looking for in the shops, then have the right thing made for you. We can go off almost any specification and build you the timber creation you’ve been searching for.

Custom Designs

We all have that perfect picture in our head of what we want but articulating that to someone else that has to actually build it can be incredibly difficult. We aren’t all born technically minded and without taking years of sketching and design classes you can find it very hard to communicate exactly what you are picturing in your mind. Fortunately, we have a team of designers who do that for a living, much like a police sketch artist, you can describe what your ideal piece of furniture looks like and we can design it all for you, giving you a preview that you can sign off on so that you know whats being made matches what you are picturing in your minds eye.

Woodworking Techniques

We are proud to offer a huge range of different woodworking techniques to get the job from start to finish for you. We combine old school methods with new modern technology to be able to provide accurate and consistent work, so that you know your new custom piece is built to the exact specification you need. We have everything from lathes to mills, old chisels to new CNC technology. Whatever it is thats required to get your piece made, we have access to it.

Finishes

If you made something from timber and simply left it as it is and started using it, you would find in a few short years not only would it be covered in stains and terribly discolored from any stray UV rays getting into the timber, but the piece might even be an entirely different shape. Finishes don’t just protect timber from spills and scratches, they also protect from changes in humidity that might cause the timber to warp and split.

Installation

Simple custom woodworking pieces like a rocking chair can usually be dropped at your front door for you to put wherever you need, but for the more complex pieces often some planning is required for how to install them. We take every aspect of the piece into consideration, even if that includes navigating small doorways, stairs or elevators. Planning for installation is all part of the process, we help you to get your custom piece where it needs to be.
